Accessible Tourism on Guadeloupe
Accessible Tourism on Guadeloupe
The Comité du Tourisme des Iles de Guadeloupe, in partnership with the Regional Council and the French Government, have been working to implement the national Accessible Tourism programme since 2007!
The campaign has included a variety of activities, including meetings with Guadeloupean organisations that represent the disabled, training for regional evaluators and informational and educational programs for travel professionals.
The purpose of the Accessible Tourism program is to encourage the travel industry to make tourist sites, accommodations and leisure facilities accessible to the disabled, so that disabled travelers gain maximum independence and can enjoy the best possible holiday.
By displaying the Accessible Tourism label at their site, travel professionals guarantee an enjoyable stay, regardless of your disability!
Are you seeking an accessible site for your holiday or leisure activities?
Look for the pictogram shown opposite. It indicates the level of disabled access to the site.
