ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

A house located in St Claude. It obviously belonged to the Montéran family since the end of the 17th century. About a hundred slaves worked on the farm at that time. In 1835, the house, which produced sugar and rum, covered 120 ha. The 147 slaves who worked there were housed in 53 huts built of masonry, planks and straw for the roof.
