    'Habitation Murat'

Marie-Galante's cultural highlight is the Habitation Murat, also known as Château Murat. This former sugar dwelling now houses a museum devoted to the folk arts of Marie-Galante and the Guadeloupe Islands. The site also boasts a medicinal garden, a listed mill and sumptuous gardens.

    ' Habitation Roussel-Trianon '

Another must-see cultural site is the Habitation Roussel-Trianon. On the road between Grand-Bourg and Saint-Louis, you won't want to miss this strangely beautiful place, where the white stones of the old master's house and sugar mill contrast strikingly with the red bricks of the intact stables. We recommend a stroll in the evening, as the light of dusk gives the place an exceptional hue.

    Distillery 'Père Labat'

Located in the commune of Saint-Louis, this distillery with its famous name is actually very discret ! For rum lovers, however, it remains a must-see. The distillery's name can be seen all over the island of Marie-Galante "Ici c'est labat". You'll be welcomed into a verdant park where mango trees and colorful flamboyants will immerse you in a picturesque and friendly atmosphere.

    Distillery Bielle

Located in the commune of Grand-Bourg, the Bielle distillery is one of the island's top tourist attractions. You'll often find vendors selling coconut boulders, pâtés and fresh juice. Inside the distillery, educational displays explain the rum-making process. If you're there at cane-cutting time, you may see ox carts arriving to deliver the last of the hand-cut cane. A pottery workshop is also on site, and tasting takes place in the shade of a small wooden hut.

    Distillery Bellevue

Walking through the Grand-Bourg countryside, amidst the cane fields stands a beautifully restored mill. You can't go wrong, it's Bellevue. While tradition may seem to prevail at first glance, it's important to note that Bellevue is resolutely looking to the future by investing in ecology. Indeed, it is the only eco-friendly distillery in the Caribbean. You won't be able to miss the distillery's emblem, which is dotted all over the premises and represents 59° in the most vibrant of colors. A fascinating visit.

    La Feuillère Beach

Capesterre-de-Marie-Galante's Feuillère beach is the most famous. It offers sublime shades of turquoise and immaculate white sand. The shaded area is a corner of paradise. This is the windiest beach on the island, so it's popular with kitesurfers. On the beach, the Dantana restaurant, with its feet in the sand, offers local dishes in an idyllic setting.

    Grand-Bourg's beach

Grand-Bourg's beach is the island's favorite playground for families. The shallow, translucent water is like a paddling pool for children. For older children, there's a beach volleyball court, and swimmers are not to be outdone, as there's a designated area for swimming in the sea.

    ' Gueule Grand Gouffre '

'Gueule Grand Gouffre' is a must-see on the island. On the north coast, a gaping hole in the rock lets the sea in, forming an arch. The sight is impressive and makes you want to get closer. However, caution is called for and respecting the limits is not to be taken lightly.
