ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Of the original fort, destroyed in 1643, nothing remains. Of the remains of the fort, rebuilt but ruined by the English attacks in 1703 and 1794, there is the old gunpowder depot which houses the embroidery workshop, the battery, consolidated and armed at the beginning of the 19th century, two Nevers cannons from 1843, various elements (fragments of cannon and breechings, mortar balls) and, overhanging the lighthouse, the advanced defense post with the remains of fortifications and four cannons watching the horizon.
